Passion
an existential ponder by: Darlene Feuillebois (2006)
If you responded to the What's Your Purpose? question of "why do you do what you do?" I would like to build on that topic and add a little more noggin bustin'/crackin'.Passion. What a wonderful concept. Can passion be a true driving force of destiny derived from intuition or instinct? Or is it a component of our surroundings, environment, upbringing, and/or education. For example, is it possible to have the seeds of a passion planted somewhere inside of us and have it spontaneously grow out of nowhere, and have our lives completely change direction? Or is it something we build up in our heads to believe that we truly are passionate about something because of the influences of society or culture? In other words, is our passion solely a decision or an existential force?
